“Encounter” is an original stage production engaging young people in the process of creating theatre magic.  The production will feature dynamic music, innovative movement, magical special effects and interactive video elements.  “Encounter” is  produced by a talented team of artists with over 75 years of combined professional theatre, movement and music  experience. Peter McCorkle – formerly of Laguna Blanca School; will direct this cutting-edge, multi-media production at the beautiful, historic Marjorie Luke Theatre. Award-winning composer Michael Mortilla will create the soundscape integrating classic and contemporary music.

If you are ready to embark on an intensive summer arts experience that enables you to put your “signature” on a new, original work of theatre, then join us for this five week program.

WHEN: Monday thru Friday

             June 14 thru July 17th 

             9:00 a.m.  to 2:00 p.m.

WHERE: Santa Barbara Junior High School

 WHO: Students 12 to 18

 COST: $750 for 5 weeks

 Encounter will culminate in three public performances July 15, 16 & 17 at 7:00 p.m.
